Insta360 just unveiled the world's first drone with built-in 8K 360 capture, the Antigravity A1. It is also the first product from Antigravity, the new drone brand incubated by Insta360 in collaboration with third parties. A1 combines immersive flight in 360 degrees, an exceptionally accessible flying experience, and limitless creative possibilities.
The Antigravity A1 is equip with unique dual-lens that records everything in 360. Together, the two lenses capture everything around the drone. Advanced stitching algorithms erase the drone from both the live video feed and the final footage, creating a smooth immersive experience that places drone pilots directly inside the scene without distractions.
With Antigravity's proprietary FreeMotion technology, the drone — together with the Vision goggles and Grip controller — enables an immersive flying experience that feels both natural and intuitive. Pilots can fly in one direction while looking in another.
Fly First, Frame Later
Since every angle is recorded in crystal-clear 8K resolution, pilots don't need to frame their shots while flying. Instead, they can freely reframe their footage while editing. This makes flying easier and reduces the risk of missing key moments. In post, users can export footage in any aspect ratio without losing quality, and apply effects like Tiny Planet or horizon flips. Creators familiar with the Insta360 X Series workflow will likely find it easy to use Antigravity A1 and edit the 360 footage.
The Antigravity A1 is scheduled to launch globally in January 2026. Final pricing, bundle details, and regional availability will be announced closer to launch.
